Processor Spotlight: Wildlife Traditions – Marietta, South Carolina

IIn the Upstate town of Marietta, the team at Wildlife Traditions is bringing new energy to South Carolina’s hunting community. In just a year and a half, this family business has built a reputation for quality, integrity, and service — all grounded in a shared belief that hunting is about more than the harvest. It’s about giving back.

Q: How long have you been in business?
A: We’ve been operating for about a year and a half, and it’s been an incredible journey so far. We’ve built something that’s not only about processing meat but also about connecting with hunters and supporting the community.

Q: What services do you offer?
A: We handle all types of wild game processing, including smoked meats and specialty cuts. Whether it’s a seasoned hunter or someone bringing in their very first deer, we take pride in treating every job with the same level of care.

Q: What inspired you to get into deer processing?
A: We wanted to create a facility that felt welcoming and honest — a place where hunters know they’re getting high-quality processing at a fair price. It’s been important to us to build something that reflects our values and our love for the outdoors.

Q: Why did you decide to participate in the South Carolina Hunters for the Hungry program?
A: So many hunters love the sport but may not use all the meat they harvest. We wanted to make it easy for them to donate and ensure that no part of a harvest goes to waste. Hunters appreciate having a trusted place to give back, and we’re proud to be part of a program that feeds families across the state.

Q: What do you enjoy most about working with hunters and serving your community?
A: People might think deer processing is all about the meat — but really, it’s about relationships. We get to hear stories, see families come in year after year, and be part of something bigger. It’s incredibly rewarding to know the work we do helps people far beyond our doors.

Q: Anything else you’d like people to know about your business?
A: We’re truly a family business — husband, wife, and kids all work together. This isn’t just a job for us; it’s something we’re building as a family, and we hope to continue growing while giving back to South Carolina communities.

Through their hard work and heart for others, Wildlife Traditions shows what makes the Hunters for the Hungry network so special — a community of hunters, processors, and families united by the simple act of sharing.
