Our Mission
“One in seven adults in South Carolina suffer from some level of food insecurity”
The primary objective of South Carolina Hunters and Landowners for the Hungry is to help provide food for needy people and non-profit organizations that support our same goal.
We are a 100% volunteer organization and all our funding goes to the clients we serve.
Our Goals
- Provide a high-protein food source to those in need locally here in South Carolina.
- Increase our partnership capacity with new and existing processors, food banks, and social organizations.
- Minimize the waste of a natural resource.
- Decrease the burden associated with distributing meat from processors to their local communities.
Giving History
Over the years our Hunter partners have put a lot of food on the tables of hungry South Carolina families.
In our first year, over 10,000 pounds of meat were donated. In 2017, over 60,000 pounds of meat were donated.
